Quite surprised by this one. I still listen to some of Conrad’s drone music, typically his collaboration with Faust, Outside the Dream Syndicate. (According to Wikipedia, this is considered a classic of minimalist and drone music).
But back to the art. The MAMCO exhibition sets out to “retrace his career over nearly sixty years of cultural activism, while at the same time acknowledging the artist’s stance vis-à-vis the methodologies underpinning the display of his work in contemporary art institutions.”
