Jana was born in Moscow, and moved to Germany in 1991 where she completed a Baccalaureat in Arts, studying art history and different art directions in painting and sculpture.Passionate about painting human faces and bodies as well as fashion, Jana uses single colours in black and white paintings adding a special touch and accent to them. Her paintings gradually evolved into a pop art style becoming colourful expressive pieces. These are the artist’s interpretation and impression of the modern human being and of the world of fashion and advertisement. Most of Jana’s paintings are based on fashion photography and advertisement and are executed using a distinct technique based on acrylic and/or aquarelle rendering.
