This painting arose from the ashes of a moment of inner turmoil and soul-searching. The three-dimensional structures of matter, gradually disintegrate into the yellow of light and heat. The red background recalls the incandescence of the explosions that animate the universe and the centre of the Earth, and at the same time represents blood, man’s life force. The gold emphasises the preciousness of existence, the green and blue refer to plants and water, elements without which we would not exist.
