Koma

Looking through the window of time to the moment I returned to society after a three-month spiritual journey through the winter mountains of Kutupu. Koma is a traditional rite of passage for young Pedi men (Northern Sotho) where knowledge and wisdom are bestowed upon young boys looking to become men. I went through Koma at 12 years old, instead I found myself at the brink of life and death and understanding of the journey that awaits me.
