The World Weeps

The disturbing events of 24 February 2022 inspired this painting, the colours presenting a graphic depiction of how much of the world views the Russian invasion of Ukraine. But it is more than that. It echoes Climate Change in the rich blue of the sky over a parched yellow landscape, the tree weeping for what the world is losing. A simple but powerful image, with many possible interpretations and meanings to the viewer.

This will be shipped from Australia, as an unstretched canvas and will need stretching and framing by the purchaser. It measures 85 x 85 cm after stretching.
